Cervical Cancer Prevention Drive

Did you know that cervical cancer can be prevented with a vaccine? January is observed as the cervical cancer awareness month. Cancers of the cervix are caused by the human papilloma virus and can be prevented by the HPV vaccine. The ideal age to get this vaccine is 9 to 26 years for girls to protect them from cervical cancer. The cervical cancer screening test is called the PAP test. Ladies can get this test done to detect changes in cervical cells so abnormalities if any can be treated early. We are offering the liquid based PAP Test at a reduced rate of AED 150 from 1 to 31 Jan 2025.
Please book with Dr Shilpa Mhatre, Specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Visceral fat is the fat that surrounds your organs in your abdomen. Excess of it can lead to health conditions like diabetes type 2, heart disease and stroke. To lose visceral fat:
  • Exercise for at least 30 minutes every day
  • Limit alcohol
  • Lower your stress as stress activates cortisol which in turn triggers the storage of visceral fat
  • Sleep for 7 hours a night
  • Try the intermittent fasting or keto diet after checking with your physician
  • A waist to hip ratio of more than 0.85 in women and 0.90 in men suggests you have more fat in your belly than is healthy
