Health Focus:Lose Belly Fat
If you are an apple shape and store excess fat around your waist and abdomen, your risk of cardiovascular disease and Type 2 diabetes is 40% more than if you are pear-shaped and store fat on your buttocks and thighs.
Experts recommend eating soluble fiber to lose excess fat from your body to lose inches and weight. Soluble fiber aids in lowering cholesterol and blood sugar by slowing digestion. Include foods rich in soluble fiber such as oats, beans, carrots, peas, citrus fruits, apples, barley, and psyllium in your diet.
In addition, drink more water as you need water to metabolize fat. Include both cardiovascular exercises such as dancing and jogging and strength training exercises such as weightlifting and push-ups to burn fat. It is also important to get a decent quality sleep for 7 to 8 hours a night and manage stress to keep excess fat and weight at bay.
