HEALTH FOCUS: Avoid Binge Drinking

Moderation is key because excess alcohol can be bad for your liver, kidneys, and heart, and could hurt your baby if you’re expecting.
For women, health experts advise no alcoholic drinks if you are pregnant, no more than a drink a day or seven in a week of which no more than 3 in a day.
For men, health experts advise no more than 2 drinks a day or 14 in a week of which no more than 4 in a day. (A drink can be 5 ounces of wine, 12 ounces of beer, or 1.5 ounces of liquor)
